Principal's Corner
Boozhoo (Hello) AIMS Families!
We have had a great start to the new school year, and I'm excited to share the first Principal Corner in our new AIMS Newsletter.
This year, we are focused on place-based learning called "Reclaiming Our Power Through Place." Throughout, we will be answering the questions: Where Am I? Where Am I From? And How Can We Care for the Land Together? We are also applying for a DNR School Forest designation for the land on the far end of AIMS property.
Academically, we are focusing on small group instruction in literacy in elementary grades and writing across content areas in middle school.
You are invited to Coffee with the Principal on the third Friday of the month. It is an informal way to visit and talk about our school programs. We also have Wednesday Community Nights starting again on October 22. We have a variety of family activities at school, including drum and dance, sewing group, and classes.
Looking forward to continuing a great school year!
