1st Grade CogAT Testing Starts September 2
From September 2-4, all 1st-grade students will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). Unlike traditional achievement tests, which measure how well a student has learned the curriculum, the CogAT assesses a child’s ability to reason abstractly and recognize patterns and relationships in the world around them. Teachers can use CogAT scores to better understand a child’s pattern of cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Our school district also uses CogAT scores to screen for cognitively gifted students.
LAST DAY TO SIGN UP!

Camp MAGIK is pleased to announce its 2026 fall schedule of healing camps for children and teens.
Camp MAGIK (Mainly About Grief In Kids) serves children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or close caregiver within the past three to four years. Camp MAGIK will provide an opportunity for children and teens to meet, talk, and process their grief with professional grief counselors. Time will also be spent on play and fun as a way to help the children heal from the experience of death in the family. Activities may include archery, canoeing, a ropes course, nature hikes, treasure hunts, campfires, storytelling, and a talent show. Each camp will be divided into two groups, one for ages 6 - 11, and one for ages 12 - 18. More information about the camps can be found at the Camp MAGIK website.
