6th Grade News
From the desk of Mrs. J. Peters, Assistant Principal
Week of September 25th -
Dear 6th Grade Parents and Families,
Last Friday we had a great day at SMS. Some of our student chose to go to the Outdoor Camping experience at Camp. And, while they were out of the building, we were lucky to have Mrs. Myers, 6th Grade ELA Viking Teacher, take the lead on a Day Camp experience right here at SMS! Mrs. Myers and a student named Landon Kozial took the time to write a grant for the program. The grant allowed each student to have a t-shirt and have some Camp Fun right at SMS.
Student enjoyed the day, learning a chant altogether that had the message of "Everyone Being Included". Ask your son/daughter about the chant. It goes to the tune of "I said a Boom a Chicka Boom". They also got to play outdoor games on the football field, obstacle courses, made picture frames out of popsicle sticks, and learned how to do some cup stacking!
It was a enjoyable day for everyone! If anyone has some camp pictures from the Outdoor overnight camp, please share with me so I can include in my upcoming newsletters.
Sincerely,
Mrs. J. Peters
