COUNSELOR CORNER

My name is Katherine Montelongo and I'm excited to be at O. Henry Elementary for my third year as the school counselor. Through guidance lessons, small groups, and short-term individual counseling, I'm able to support the academic, career, social and emotional development of all students. I also help families connect to needed services.

Students write or draw 1-2 things they are grateful for inside the rectangle of the mug. Students can also color and decorate the mug. When finished, please cut the mug and turn it in to Ms. Montelongo.

Students color their mug and think of 6 things they are grateful for and write them down on their marshmallows. Students can also color their marshmallows and design them in any way they like (see example). When students are finished, they cut the mug and glue their marshmallows to their mug to make their craft look like a mug of hot cocoa with marshmallows inside it. Turn it in to Ms. Montelongo when complete.

Notification of placement will be emailed to families on January 31st.

Please sign and return the permission slip for your child to participate in the field trip and tour Liberty JH.
