Middle Schoolers Dive Into Watershed Research
Students have been catching macroinvertebrates, creating rivers, modeling erosion, and exploring green infrastructure like green roofs, rain barrels, and porous pavers.
They've been seeing firsthand how important water is to our Earth system, how it moves, where it goes, and how our actions can impact it. They've also been learning how these green infrastructure features help “slow the flow” and keep water in the natural water cycle.

The District's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential and free resource designed to support you and your immediate family members with a wide range of services, including mental health counseling, legal and financial guidance, wellness and work-life balance resources, and personal and professional development programs. This program is available 24/7 and aims to support your well-being—both at work and at home.
If you know of any student in need of social and/or emotional support, please complete the referral form located in the Important Links section of their school's page on CHUH.org. Anyone can complete this referral form, and submissions are routed directly to the school social worker and counselors for follow-up.
Our “see something, say something” policy applies to our school community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone can access the Safe School Helpline to report threats, bullying, or other such behavior. Call 1-800-4-1-VOICE (1-800-418-6423) ext. 359 to leave your information, or submit a report online.
The District has adopted a plan for communications with persons with disabilities, which is available here. The plan establishes procedures to ensure that the District's communications with persons with disabilities, including applicants, participants, members of the public, and companions with disabilities, are as effective as its communications with others.
The Communications Department wants to share the wonderful classroom-based happenings with our community. If you would like to have a Communications Department member come to your school to gather photos and notes, please fill out this Google Form to book a date and time.
Families, staff, students and community members may use this form to offer their suggestions, feedback and comments to Superintendent Elizabeth Kirby, or ask questions. Unless you choose to provide contact information, your submission will remain anonymous.
