Principal's Panui Principal's Panui

Kia ora e te whānau,

Welcome to Term 3! It is fantastic to have all our tamariki back at school, recharged and ready for another term filled with learning, growth, and exciting opportunities.

Pae Tamariki

We kicked off with an awesome Pae Tamariki performance, and our students represented Awapuni School with immense pride and passion. A huge, heartfelt thank you goes to Whaea Sarai for her dedication, time, effort, and perseverance in making this incredible opportunity happen for our whole school. Kei runga noa atu koe e Sarai!

Parent/Teacher Hui

A big mihi to all the parents and whānau who attended our recent parent/teacher conferences to discuss their children’s progress and learning achievements. Strong partnerships between home and school are vital to student success. If you still have any questions or would like further clarification regarding your child's mid-year report, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to their classroom teacher to arrange a time to meet.

Teacher Only Day: 28 August

Please take note of an important date coming up: Friday, 28th August is a Teacher Only Day (school will be closed for instruction). Our teaching staff will be spending the day working on the implementation, assessment, and reporting of the new curriculum. We sincerely thank our whānau for supporting us with this dedicated time, which allows us to unpack these curriculum updates and strategically plan for the future of learning at Awapuni School.

Strategic Planning

Finally, as we prepare for our next strategic planning cycle, we need your valuable input! We have posted a Whānau Voice Survey on HERO. Your feedback is essential in shaping the direction of our school community. To show our appreciation for your time, every whānau who completes the survey will go into the draw to win a $100 Woolworths voucher.

Thank you for your continued support as we jump into Term 3 together.
