A Message from Dr. Holt
Dear RFISD Families,
Welcome back, and happy new year! I hope your winter break was restful and gave you time to recharge. As we continue into the second half of the school year, I want to thank each of you—students, families, teachers, and staff—for the positive energy and dedication you’re bringing into 2026.
We hit the ground running this semester, despite a brief pause due to winter weather on January 26th. While we never take the decision to cancel school lightly, the safety of our students and staff will always be our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigated that weather day and its impact on schedules.
Even with a cold start, the spring semester is full of momentum. Students are diving into new learning, preparing for performances, competitions, and upcoming assessments. It’s a great time to reset goals and recommit to the routines that help all of us grow—both in and out of the classroom.
I also want to recognize that this season can feel quite busy. Between academics, extracurriculars, and planning for what’s ahead, students and staff alike are juggling a lot. Let’s continue reminding one another that steady progress matters more than perfection—and that, as always, it’s okay to slow down and ask for support when needed.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished together so far this year—and excited for everything still to come.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Brian Holt
Superintendent
