WHO'S UP FOR TRIVIA?
Do you know...?
The famous Christmas story written in six weeks is Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol", penned in a creative frenzy in late 1843, starting in October and finishing in early December, driven by financial need and a desire to highlight poverty, selling out its first run by Christmas Eve.
Written by Charles Dickens in out six weeks, from October to early December 1843. Dickens was facing debt and needed a financial success, but also wanted to raise awareness about the plight of the poor, inspired by a report on child labor. He wrote furiously, often taking long night walks through London to develop the plot and characters. It was an instant hit, with 6,000 copies selling out within a week of its December 19, 1843, release, becoming a holiday staple.
