Boys Volleyball RECORD 10-3
The boys volleyball team has put together a string of victories dating back to the middle of spring break, winning each of the last five matches against Pinelands, Washington Twp, Mainland, Pennsauken, and Pleasantville. Team captains Joseph Vu, Julian Pacheco, and Bryce Lake have led a resilient group that has pulled out matches in a number of exciting ways: winning in extra time, coming from behind, and pulling out ahead and keeping a lead. May 2nd is the team senior night against Clearview HS at 5:15pm.
Congratulations to the class of 2025:
Joseph Vu, Abdullah Malik, Adrian Pike, Lukas Norkevicius, Giancarlo Saporito, and Julian Pacheco.
GOLF
Both the boys and girls golf team celebrated Senior Day on Tuesday. Friends, family and teammates gathered around the 9th green at McCullough's Emerald Links to watch our four seniors, Chase Adomaitis, Olivia Nehmad, Neto Asiegbu and Jason Graham, play their final few holes at our home course for their careers.
On Thursday, both the boys and girls traveled to Ramblewood for the prestigious Carl Arena Memorial Tournament. The boys finished 24th out of 54 teams, led by Senior Captain Chase Adomaitis (80). The girls finished 4th out of 19 teams, led by Julie Duggan (87) who overcame a rough start to shoot a 39 on the back.
On Monday May 5, the girls' team will participate in the NJSIAA South Section A Sectional Tournament for the first time in school history. Unfortunately, the boys' team did not qualify for the NJSIAA South Group IV Sectional Tournament, however Chase Adomaitis and Sophomore Dylan Hawkins have qualified as individual participants.
GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL
The Girls' Flag Football team had a successful week finishing 2-1 on the week. We lost to Mainland in a tough battle on 4/29 6-12, but rebounded to beat Winslow 16-6, and returned home last night and beat a scrappy Middle Twp team 21-0. We have two regular season games remaining before playoffs begin in two weeks.
