Information Session for Incoming 1st and 2nd Grade Families
As many of you heard last week, due to changing numbers of incoming first and second graders, we will now have three 1st/2nd grade multi-grade classes. I'll host a final information for the year next Thursday, June 11, from 7-8pm to share what a day-in-the-life will look like and answer questions. Want to join? Head to meet.google.com/hyj-thpf-pwc.
Show Your Irvington Pride at the Yard Sale
The Irvington Neighborhood Yard Sale is this Saturday, June 6, from 9am–3pm. Throw on your Irvington sweatshirt, t-shirt, or hat and represent. We're out recruiting families to our school all year and this is a fun way to make our community visible in the neighborhood.
Join Irvington at the Juneteenth Parade
Irvington families are showing up together for the Juneteenth: Oregon — The Clara Peoples Freedom Trail Parade on June 20. The parade starts at 11am from King Elementary School, with a festival running 12–7pm at Lillis-Albina Park. Irvington community members are gathering at NE Knott & MLK at 11:15am to watch together. Come join us and wear your Irvington gear.
Build Your Summer Reading List with OBOB!
As summer break is nearly here, it’s the perfect time to start planning your child’s reading list. Next year’s OBOB titles are a great place to begin—even if your student isn’t planning to participate.
Purchasing the books is completely optional, but if you’d like to build your collection, you can support Irvington at the same time. Visit our book fair partner, Jennifer Butler-Brown, add the “Irvington Book Fair $0” item to your cart (this ensures our school receives credit), then click “Shop All” to select books. You can also reach Jennifer directly at 541-619-3960 or Jennifer.butlerbrown@gmail.com for assistance.
