Special Recognitions: Aspiring Leaders

Dr. Chris Daniel, Deputy Superintendent, presented the 2025-26 Class of Aspiring Leaders. During the 2025–2026 school year, Argyle ISD completed another successful year of the Aspiring Leaders Academy (ALA), a program designed to support and develop future leaders across our district. The Academy provides staff members with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills through learning experiences and discussions focused on instructional leadership, communication, school operations, and campus leadership responsibilities.

This year, 22 participants completed the program, reflecting a strong interest in leadership growth and continued service to Argyle ISD. We are proud of the time and commitment these staff members invested throughout the year and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to make on our campuses and throughout the district. Special Recognitions: Trustees Sam Slaton and Craig Hawkesworth

Additionally, we formally recognized the dedicated and long-standing service of Board President Sam Slaton and Vice President Craig Hawkesworth, both of whom have faithfully served Argyle ISD as School Board Trustees for many years. Their leadership, commitment, and steadfast advocacy for students, staff, and the Argyle community have left a lasting impact on our district.

Argyle ISD extends its deepest gratitude to Mr. Slaton and Mr. Hawkesworth as they complete their terms of service and thanks them for the countless ways they have helped shape the future of Argyle ISD. The impact of their leadership was further evident during last night’s meeting as an overwhelming turnout of supporters, colleagues, and community members gathered to express their appreciation and say, “thank you” for their years of faithful service and dedication to Argyle ISD.
