SAT Test Prep Course
January 30, 2024
Please disregard the previous communcation with "ACT" in the title - we apologize for the error.
Dear Parents and Guardians of LFHS Juniors,
Over the past several months, we have provided our junior class with our ACT Test Prep Course. We have had excellent attendance. In our effort to continue to ensure that they are properly supported and prepared moving forward, we will be offering our free SAT Test Prep Course this winter and spring on the following Saturday dates:
2/24/24
3/2/24
3/9/24
3/16/24
4/6/24
These dates were selected knowing that our students will be taking part in our April SAT suite of testing on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. It is important for all families within our Lake Forest High School community to realize that the SAT is one of the primary indicators used to determine our rating on the Illinois School Report Card each school year. Therefore, when our students do their best on the SAT, it not only helps them as they apply to universities, but also reflects positively on LFHS as well. More importantly, the feedback that our students receive from the SAT is a strong indicator of how well they perform in classes in high school and beyond.
Once registration is completed, students will receive additional information from me regarding the test prep classes. Students who sign up for the SAT Test Prep Course will receive instruction and support in Reading (Literature and Science-based), English, and Mathematics. Classes will meet from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at LFHS on the above Saturday mornings.
Registration closes for SAT Test Prep at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Students who are enrolled in this course should plan to attend each of the five sessions.

Please also note that once you register your LFHS student, future correspondence will go directly to them as it relates to navigating the course. It will be essential, and expected of a junior, that they check their LFHS email consistently for updates.
Sincerely,
