Doty Rockstars! Grades 3 & 4

With the ever changing weather, please encourage your child to have layers for school. I have also been asked to remind again, that PE would prefer sneakers for class. I understand that not all children enjoy wearing sneakers, however, it is the expectation. They may wear other shoes all day and change into sneakers for 45 minutes. Also, backpacks and water bottles are helpful daily.

This week we will be learning about owls via one of North America's smallest birds-- the Northern Saw-Whet Owl. NBNC spends the month of October banding NSWOs for research into their migration, and we have a really fun game known as owls, mice and seeds that demonstrate their necessity to the ecosystem and how removing/changing one population changes the other.
