More Information about Volunteering at Happy Hearts
Join us on Thursday anytime from 5 - 9 to help us transform the lower level into Happy Hearts Central! This is an important night and we need many volunteers to help us create something special for our children. Please check your calendars and see if you can help (and bring a friend)!
On Friday, we will essentially hold 3 different parties so you can imagine how many people it takes to pull this off. Here are some ideas: If you are not your child's invited guest, sign up to volunteer so you can be here too/ If you are usually up past 9 pm, sign up to help us break it all down (usually about an hour if we have a lot of hands)
UD Basketball Game on 3/7
Yes, this is a March event but tickets are on sale now! One of our family favorite off-site events is FSMA Day at UD Basketball! Purchase your tickets this month to join us as we take over an entire section for the UD vs. LA Tech 12:00 mens game. Not only is this a great way for kids and families to connect outside of school, but we also see value in getting kids onto college campuses and letting them see what future schooling might look like (plus you can get UD Creamery ice-cream)!
Tickets can be purchased through the Parent Portal under Event Tickets
Lower School welcomes Nurse Meg
As Nurse Laurie has retired, we wanted to introduce the new Lower School Nurse - Megan Sternberg. Megan has been a part of our community as a parent and substitute nurse for many years.
Her contact info is megan.sternberg@fsma.k12.de.us
Free Parenting Series
This month's webinar is:
10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People
Author David Yeager will share about his book which includes ideas on setting high expecations for our young people, helping them build strong relationships, and showing them that you are partners in their growth journey. This is highly recommended for anyone interested in motivating and supporting those ages 10 to 25.
