We WILL be celebrating with a DESSERT TRUCK! The TASTY UNICORN will be in the west loop, ready to serve by 6:00!
We WILL be shopping at the BOOK FAIR! A large section of our gym will transform into a massive book store! Please, note that the book fair is cash-free. Credit or debit cards are welcome, or follow the directions coming soon to create an eWallet. Volunteers needed! Click here if you love books and could help for a bit! The book fair opens in the gym at 6:00pm and you'll need to be in line to check out by 7:30! We're packing it up at 8!
We WILL be THROWING EGGS OFF THE ROOF!! Okay technically, only Mrs. Hargrove will be on the roof, and the goal is that no eggs be harmed in the process. Students are encouraged to design and build an egg transport device that will protect a raw egg from breaking when gently dropped from the roof of the cafeteria. Devices should be labeled with student's name and be brought to the lift site just outside the south gym doors on May 2nd prior to launch time (7:00ish) Any devices utilizing peanut butter will need to be placed in the correctly labeled bin and will be launched last for safety.

The SHOW 2025 will Rock the DogHouse on May 20
Who wants to BE in the SHOW!? All Belmont Bulldogs may apply!
We love having the opportunity to showcase unique and individual talents that may not always have an occasion to be displayed during normal school activities. This year, the dates you need to know are: Applications due (May 1); Video Auditions due (May 5); Rehearsal during the school day (May 19) and LIVE PERFORMANCE (May 20, 9:15am).
Acts:
- MUST include Belmont Elementary students ONLY
- Students may participate in ONE ACT ONLY so that we can fit in as many students as possible for the live performance (Exceptions may be made for teacher sponsored classroom performances.)
- MUST be 3 minutes in length or less. Or 1 minute. Or a couple. Or even a 10 second stunt is fine.
- MUST be fully appropriate for all ages to view- think about song lyrics, attire...you know the drill.
Video Auditions:
- Videos may be emailed directly to Mrs. Hargrove at phargrove@usd232.org.
Emcees:
- 5th graders are eligible to apply as an emcee for the SHOW. I will communicate with students who sign up to be emcees directly to assign acts to introduce....so send in some acts for them to introduce!!

WatchDOGS Wednesdays!!
It's a WatchDOGS revival in the Belmont DogHouse! With at least a week's notice, we'll welcome a DAD (gotta be a significant adult guardian or relation) each Wednesday to work a day at BE. There will be a schedule provided that will include a variety of tasks including building safety, academic assistance in classrooms, and logistical support during lunch, and the reward...RECESS! We guarantee you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and recess with your own child(ren) and around that, we'll put you to work in the classrooms where your extra hands will be the most helpful!
