Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
Thank you to all of our families for joining us for conferences last week!
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as students and their parents left the school. I truly enjoyed watching our teachers connect with families while celebrating goals and accomplishments together.
Having students take an active role in these conversations is such a powerful way to help them take ownership of their learning. Your partnership plays a vital role in their success, and we’re so grateful for your continued support of all our Corron students!

Halloween
All celebrations will be held on Friday, October 31st. Classes will participate in our traditional Halloween parade starting at 2:00 followed by classroom parties.
Parents are welcome to view the parade outside by standing at the perimeter of the playground or on the south lawn (students will need to walk on the sidewalk).
All day K-5 students will wear their costumes in the afternoon only, so please make sure your child can get into his or her costume easily. Please do not send your child in full face make-up, as they will be engaging in learning throughout the rest of their school day.
Please remember that students are not allowed to bring replicas of weapons as part of their costumes. We also ask that students tone down anything that might scare our younger students (blood, etc.).
Costume masks will be allowed for the parade, but not during the classroom parties.
Just a reminder that food is no longer allowed for parties. Please do not send in treats for your child to pass out.
Corron Bookfair Appreciation
Thank you to all the students and families who supported our bookfair last week! As a result, the Corron LRC will receive over $2,500 in new books for the library!
We could not have done it without the support of our Corron community and our AMAZING volunteers:
Nicole Biundo, Rosa Byrd, Amanda Casmer, Veronika Chiflikli, Erin DeLee, Alice Froemling, Sofia Garbenis, Amy Grzeskiewicz, Danelle Harpling, Sarah Kant, Becca Lentz, Bridget Nolan, Christa Paynter, Lisa Raphael, Porsha Reed-Weidner, Marissa Salvador, Kathy Sanchez, Samantha Siano, Jackie Skarb, Megan Stewart, Sydney Vancura, Laura Weaver, and Sugar Zaucha.
Thank you! We hope you and your families have been enjoying the books!
Veteran's Day
On Tuesday, November 11th, starting at 2:00pm, Corron Elementary School will host a Veterans Day assembly to celebrate those individuals who have given so much for the freedom we enjoy. Our 5th grade students will lead our assembly to honor the veterans within our Corron community.
We need your help to honor our veteran family members who have served in two ways:
1. We invite our veterans to come to Corron to enjoy our school assembly and receive a special treat in appreciation.
2. We also ask families to submit information and photos to be part of a slideshow of our community veterans.
If you are interested in a veteran attending the assembly and/or being a part of the slideshow, please complete THIS FORM, which must be submitted by Monday, November 3rd. (Please note: This is the last day we can accept entries in order to ensure we have the supplies and slideshow ready for the celebration.)
