Pass the Bulldog Recognitions
This year, we’re celebrating staff members who go above and beyond to be great team players! The Pass the Bulldog recognition is a special way to acknowledge those who support their colleagues, step up when needed, and help make our school community stronger.
This week, we’re excited to recognize Mrs. Roberts-Prior and Mrs. Howe for being outstanding team players! Their willingness to collaborate, lend a helping hand, and support those around them truly makes a difference.
Congratulations, and thank you for being such great examples of teamwork!
Staffiere's Socratic Seminar
While reading Look Both Ways by Jason Reynolds, students in Mr. Staffiere’s ELA classes participated in a Socratic Seminar.
- Students prepared questions ahead of time covering themes of courage, perseverance, and friendship.
- During the seminar students worked collaboratively to hold a student-led critical discussion of the text where they shared their questions and worked on listening and speaking skills.
Educator Prep Partnership
JFDS is partnering with Educator Prep students at United Technologies Center!
- Ed Prep students will design and create engaging bulletin boards to put up around JFDS for our students to enjoy.
- This collaboration satisfies some of their coursework requirements as well as providing attractive, educational displays for our middle school students.
