๐ School Counseling Quick Tips ๐
September is National Attendance Awareness month and Northwest wants to see your students every day. School is important and not the same without your students. There are long-term impacts to missing school so please make every effort to bring your students every day.
Quick tips to support great attendance:
- Keep consistent routines at home
- Schedule appointments before or after school
- Communicate with the school by bringing in doctor notes and/or excuses

Address and/or Phone Number Changes
Your support is always appreciated in helping us to maintain accurate information regarding address changes, new telephone numbers, etc.
It is a recommended procedure by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that, in the event of a change of address, confirmation of the new address is required before information can be updated/changed. Confirmation of address may include a utility bill or a copy of the lease. If you are residing with someone else, we will provide you with a Residency Affidavit that will need to be signed and notarized.
Please submit all information regarding address changes to the Northwest Office. Accurate information on your child is vital in the event of an emergency! Office personnel will be happy to assist with any questions you may have at 717-270-6800.
The best at Northwest!
Northwest Elementary School is a community that values all students, families, community members and faculty. Teamwork is an important part of everyday life here at our school. We will continue to work together to set a tone of high expectations, clear communication and genuine caring so that all students can experience academic success and social growth this year. Our entire staff looks forward to working with you and your children throughout the school year!
