Last Day of School - June 11th

Our last day of school was today! I will miss all of you! Thank you for giving me a home the last four years. Thank you for the wonderful hugs and good-byes I received over the last couple weeks. I hope you and your family have an amazing summer break!

From the New Principal ... Ms. Murphy

Dear Sycamore Families,

My name is Gretchen Murphy and I am honored to be your new principal. I have enjoyed meeting some of you already and I can’t wait to meet the rest of you! I’ll send a longer introduction in the fall, but for now here are a few facts about me:

I was born and raised in San Diego.
I love animals, love theater, tasting new foods and the beach.
I taught for 16 years and have 13 years of administrative experience, most recently as the Vice Principal at PRIDE Academy here in Santee School District.

Mrs. Hicks and I have been sharing notes so that we can ensure a smooth transition. I also had the privilege of meeting with Mrs. Lause, the PTA president, to learn more about how I can support our incredible PTA. I look forward to collaborating with staff, parents, guardians and the community so that we can continue to make Sycamore an oasis where our students learn and grow everyday! Annual Information Renewal (AIR) Process

Please complete the Annual Information Review by June 30. Completing AIR is a key step in helping us prepare for a successful 2025–26 school year. To maintain your child’s current enrollment at their current school, we need AIR completed by every family by June 30 or your child’s space may be released to new enrollment. iPad Collection

Just a reminder that all iPads, blocks, and cables were collected last week. If you lost the white, apple USB-C block or cable, they are $20 each. If you lost the set, they are $40. Thank you!

Missing Items

Please remember that all musical instruments, music books, and library books were due last week. If your child is missing one, you will need to return the item or pay for its replacement cost. Please call the office if you need clarification. Thank you!

Secret Garden

Thank you to the Coon Family, Benson Coon, and Jordy Hill for weeding and redesigning the Secret Garden, over by the Chicken Coop.

Yearbooks - Still Available - Online Only

Did you forget to order a school yearbook? You can still order one online and have it shipped to your home. Please follow the link on the attached flyer.

Please come and check the lost and found. All items left after June 11th will be donated.
