ECLC Peek at The Week
September 17, 2026
A Message from the Principal
This week, fall assessments began to help us understand each child's strength's and areas for growth. In kindergarten we use iReady Diagnostic for reading and math, alongside Acadience to monitor reading progress. The preschool team is using teacher observations and specialized rubrics to monitor development.
Teachers will use these insights to set short and long term goals for every student, which we look forward to sharing with you at Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Partnering with you is key to your young scholars success! Please check your child's backpack for an activity sheet to share your hopes and dreams for them this year. We'll display these in our hallways for Open House. You can also help your student by assuring plenty of rest each night and a healthy breakfast in the morning so they can perform their best.
Respectfully,
Laura
