The Weekly Update #4

Greetings Park Family,

We have just ended the second marking period and began the third marking period of the year. We have seen some tremendous growth of our students in reading and math since the beginning of the year. We want to thank all of our students and teachers for their hard work so far this year. We have a busy next couple of months planned here at Richardson Park and we need your continuous support. Moving forward, please find time to read with your children and discuss the relevant and necessary facts of what they are reading. We want to increase their ability to read fluidly and to comprehend what they are reading. We are looking forward to a great second half of the school year.

Saludos a la familia de Park,

Acabamos de terminar el segundo período de calificaciones y comenzamos el tercer período de calificaciones del año. Hemos visto un crecimiento tremendo de nuestros estudiantes en lectura y matemáticas desde principios de año. Queremos agradecer a todos nuestros estudiantes y maestros por su arduo trabajo hasta ahora este año. Tenemos planeados unos próximos meses muy ocupados aquí en Richardson Park y necesitamos su apoyo continuo. De ahora en adelante, tómense el tiempo para leer con sus hijos y analizar los datos relevantes y necesarios de lo que están leyendo. Queremos aumentar su capacidad para leer con fluidez y comprender lo que están leyendo. Esperamos una excelente segunda mitad del año escolar.

Teacher of the Year Nominations

We are seeking nominations for the 2025/26 Red Clay Teacher of the Year. Being selected as a Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors the district bestows on Red Clay teachers.

The nomination window closes on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Parents may nominate a teacher by completing this form.

Nominaciones para el puesto de Maestro del año

Estamos buscando nominaciones para el puesto de Maestro del año 2025/26 de Red Clay. Ser seleccionado como Maestro del año es uno de los mayores honores que el distrito otorga a los maestros de Red Clay.

El período de nominación cierra el martes 4 de febrero de 2025. Los padres pueden nominar a un maestro completando este formulario.

Attendance

Please make sure students are coming to school on a regular basis. If they are sick, please keep them home. If they are running a fever they have to stay out of school for one day. When they are absent, please make sure to send a not to excuse their absences.

Asistencia

Asegúrese de que los estudiantes asistan a la escuela con regularidad. Si están enfermos, manténgalos en casa. Si tienen fiebre, deben faltar a la escuela durante un día. Cuando estén ausentes, asegúrese de enviar una nota para justificar su ausencia.

Car Lines

Please adhere to the rules of the car lines for arrival and dismissal. Also, do not double park in the from of the school. It creates a traffic back up.

Parent / Teacher conferences

February 13 4:00 - 7:00pm

February 14 8:00 -3:30pm

The teachers will schedule their conferences accordingly. Do not panic if there are areas where your child may not be proficient. We are only have the way through the school year and must complete the whole year for grade level proficiency. When reviewing their performance, you want to look at how they are growing.

Los maestros programarán sus conferencias en consecuencia. No se asuste si hay áreas en las que su hijo no es competente.
