I want to give a humongous shout out to Mrs. Lebeck and all of the students who were a part of our talent show Wednesday afternoon. It was wonderful to see our students shine in front of their parents and peers! I'm always so impressed with our performers' courage to get in front of our school and showcase their talents. Awesome job everyone!
Wednesday April 15, 2026 is the first day of M-STEP testing for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Also, 8th grade students will be taking their PSAT test. It is important that students:
- Get a good night's rest
- Charge and bring their Chromebook to school
- Attend school
- Eat breakfast
- Try their best!
As always, I would like to thank our students, staff, families, and community for their hard work and support! Time keeps flying by! Spring break is a great time to relax, unwind, and focus on that final push to the finish line! Enjoy your time off!
It's a great day to be a Panther!!!

Sherman Lake Camp: A Trip to Remember
Our 5th grade students had the opportunity to attend Sherman Lake YMCA Camp this past Monday through Wednesday, and they had a phenomenal time. Throughout the trip, students took part in a wide variety of activities that kept them active, engaged, and having fun together. From sitting around campfires and enjoying time with friends, to challenging themselves on the rock climbing wall, there was something for everyone. Students also participated in group games, spent time swimming in the pool, and enjoyed the outdoors in a whole new way.
It was a great experience for building friendships, trying new things, and making lasting memories.
A Roaring Success: Middle School Performs Beauty and the Beast Jr. 🌹
Delton Kellogg Middle School’s production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. was a huge success! Our students did an outstanding job bringing the story to life with their talent, hard work, and dedication. From the acting and singing to the set design and teamwork behind the scenes, every part of the performance was truly impressive.
We are incredibly proud of all the students involved and want to congratulate them on a job well done. Their commitment and courage to perform on stage made this production a memorable experience for everyone who attended.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to Ms. Maggie Martin, the Director, and Ms. Susan Renee for all the time and effort they put into organizing rehearsals, creating costumes, and helping bring the entire production together. Their dedication made this show possible.
We encourage students to continue being involved in Theater Club and invite others to consider joining next year. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and be part of something special.
Bravo to our amazing cast and crew we can’t wait to see what you do next year!
Students Step Into the Spotlight at DKMS Talent Show
Delton Kellogg Middle School held its annual Talent Show on Wednesday, April 1, and it was a fun and memorable event for everyone involved.
We are incredibly proud of the courage and confidence shown by the students who took the stage and performed in front of their peers. From singing to instrument playing, puppets, jokes, gymnastics, dance, and more, the show highlighted the many talents within our school community.
All middle school students and staff attended, and family members and community members were also invited to join the audience. Everyone had a great time enjoying the variety of performances. It was a great chance for everyone to come together, cheer each other on, and just enjoy the show. While we couldn’t include pictures of every performance, we hope you enjoy some highlights below.
Life Skills Students Get Creative
Mrs. Williams’ Life Skills students spent some time over the past week making Tuck n’ Go quilt tiles. They worked hard, had fun, and did a great job. The tiles turned out awesome.
DKMS Student-Athletes Represent Strong at MYWAY States
Delton Kellogg Middle School is excited to recognize a group of dedicated student-athletes who represented our community at the 2026 MYWAY Wrestling Championships held at the Wings Event Center.
Charleigh Loveland (7th Grade) had an incredible showing, competing in two state events. At the MYWAY Open State Championships, Charleigh earned a 6th place finish in the Boys 2013 age group at 70 pounds. She also placed 2nd in the 2014–2013 Girls division at 70 pounds, an amazing accomplishment.
Jason May (8th Grade) competed in the MYWAY Open State Championships in the 2011 age group at 145 pounds, earning an impressive 4th place finish.
Brody McBride (8th Grade) also had a strong performance at the MYWAY Open State Championships, placing 5th in the 2011 age group at 220 pounds.
In addition, several DKMS wrestlers worked hard to qualify for the MYWAY State Championships:
Brock Bissett (8th Grade) competed in the 2012 Open division at 220 pounds.
Brayden Reynolds (8th Grade) competed in the 2012 Open division at 145 pounds.
Archer Nesmith (8th Grade) competed in the 2011 Open division at 170 pounds.
Just making it to the state level takes a lot of commitment, effort, and resilience. Each of these students has put in the time and shown what it means to stick with something and keep improving.
Congratulations to all of our DKMS wrestlers on a great season. We’re proud of the work you’ve put in and can’t wait to see what you do next year.
