A Message from our Principal
Dear Manning Families,
Congratulations to our band, orchestra, and choir students for their impressive concerts these past two weeks. As always, our students and directors are working hard and their incredible talent and musicianship shows! Well done!
Excitement is building as we approach one of the most anticipated events of the school year, our Lucky Mustangs Casino Night, hosted by the PTA! In about two weeks, we'll come together for this lively fundraiser and social gathering. It’s a perfect opportunity to support our school while enjoying a fun-filled evening. Make sure to check out the detailed event information linked in this newsletter and grab your tickets if you haven’t done so yet. We can't wait to see you there!
As we get deeper into this school year, I want to emphasize the importance of maintaining strong attendance. Ideally, we aim for our students to have an attendance rate of 95% or higher. We understand that circumstances like travel, illness, and emergencies can arise, but when students miss school, they miss out on vital instruction. We send initial emails to families whose students have an attendance rate of 89% or below. This serves as an early notice to inform you that your student’s attendance is currently lower than expected, with the hope that it improves. If you receive this email, there's no need to contact the school unless you have specific questions. Should attendance remain a concern, a member of our administrative team or a counselor will reach out to provide further support. Thank you for helping ensure that your student is attending school regularly.
The Jeffco Listens Annual Family Survey is now open through Friday, October 30. This anonymous survey is a valuable tool that provides us with insights into our families' experiences and only takes 15-20 minutes to complete. It will help us better understand what we are doing well and inform us how we can better support our students and families. This important feedback will direct our decision-making as we work to provide a world-class education for all Jeffco students and prepare them for bright and successful futures.
Reminder- A student should not carry any type of medication with them during school hours. All medication should be administered in the health clinic with the proper documentaton. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the district RN for Manning, Laurie Ann Gibbons at LaurieAnn.Gibbons@jeffco.k12.co.us.
In partnership,
Matt

Golden Youth Wrestling Program
Youth Wrestling Program- Hogback Elite
We're excited to be kicking off our next season on November 9th, and we're continuing our efforts to grow wrestling participation throughout the Golden community. Over the past few years, we've made tremendous strides with our high school program, and we believe the best way to continue building a strong future for Golden Wrestling is by engaging student-athletes at the youth level.
Whether they are new to the sport or have previous wrestling experience, Hogback Elite is a great opportunity for young athletes to build confidence, discipline, and skills while being part of a positive team environment. Click here for flyer
Thank you for your continued support of youth athletics and the Golden community. We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to welcoming new wrestlers to the mat this season.

Pause & Paws: Coping Skills
Navigating Big Changes? There is Help...
Students are often managing a lot of school stress, friendships, family changes, anxiety, and the everyday ups and downs of growing up. The flyers below are about workshops that can help students manage their feelings, stress, friendships and changes. The workshops are designed to give students a supportive space to connect with peers while learning skills they can use at home, at school, and beyond. These workshops are designed to give students practical tools for navigating big feelings and challenging moments. During the workshops, a certified therapy dog, Nalu, will also be joining the group.
