Mrs. Vachon

Dear Gladstone Huskies Families,

Welcome back! We are thrilled to officially welcome you to the start of a fantastic new school year. Most of all, we are so very happy to finally be home in our brand-new, state-of-the-art school building.

A very special welcome goes out to the students and families joining us from Arlington Elementary. We are honored to have you join our Gladstone family, and we cannot wait to grow, learn, and build new traditions together.

Our new home brings incredible opportunities to elevate how our students learn and connect every day. Here is a glimpse of what makes our new space so special:

  • Expanded Space: Generous layouts designed to give our Huskies room to move, explore, and thrive.

  • Flexible & Open Seating: Dynamic learning environments that accommodate different learning styles and foster comfort.

  • Community Teaching Spaces: Collaborative areas built specifically for team teaching, group projects, and cross-classroom connection.

  • An Extraordinary Staff: A dedicated, warm team of educators and support staff ready to guide and inspire your children every step of the way.

This year, we will continue to build on our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment—where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is practiced, and learning is meaningful.

Our goals this year are to continue to improve our social-emotional initiatives and our strategies and instruction to improve our students’ academic achievement. We have prioritized students' academic and social emotional skills so that they are prepared to succeed in their futures. Our goal is to promote a safe school environment that is based on respect, kindness, and high academic achievement. We also strive to provide fun and enriching opportunities for our students, such as field trips and school events that involve our parents’ participation. We are not only a team at Gladstone, but we are also a family. Together, our dedicated staff and remarkable students are proud to be Gladstone Elementary School Huskies! Whether your child is returning or joining us for the first time, know that they are an important part of our Gladstone family.

There is so much energy and optimism surrounding this year, and we are ready to make it our best one yet. Thank you for your continued partnership, patience, and support as we open this exciting new chapter together of Gladstone 2.0. If you have any questions or concerns, I encourage you to email me at avachon@cpsed.net.

Ms. Corso

Dear Gladstone Families and Community,

Welcome to another exciting school year at Gladstone Elementary! We have officially opened our brand-new building, and I am beyond excited to be a part of this historic milestone. We cannot wait for you to see everything that is in store for our students and families in this incredible new facility.

Strong partnerships between home and school remain at the heart of everything we do, and I am thrilled to continue growing those connections. Our team is dedicated to supporting the whole child—fostering academic success alongside social-emotional well-being. We remain committed to keeping Gladstone a safe, kind, and dynamic place where students are inspired to learn, collaborate, and take on new challenges.

Following the success of our project-based learning initiatives last year, we are eager to build on that momentum with even more hands-on, engaging classroom experiences within our new state-of-the-art space.

I am incredibly proud to be a Gladstone Husky and look forward to working together to make this year our best one yet. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at acorsolatos@cpsed.net.

Sincerely,

Amy Corso-Latos

Today we started a SchoolStore program to help our school raise money. A lanyard with information explaining how the program works has been sent home with your student. Your student will earn a participation prize when they return the filled-out lanyard to school, and they can earn more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. So don't forget to send the filled-out lanyard back to school, and thanks for your support. This fundraiser is open all year! ***IMPORTANT*** You must enter 8 emails into the platform, for your student to qualify for the prize at school.

If you are dropping students off and picking up at school you CAN NOT park on Lawrence Street or Gladstone Street. Cranston Police are advising our families to utilize Laurel Hill Ave., Browne and Argyle to park and walk to the school. This will eliminate some of the traffic congestion we are experiencing during dismissal.

We are also asking parents to refrain from parking in front driveways and or being on residents' property while waiting for your child to be dismissed. The school has received complaints from concerned neighbors.

You can now pay for your student's lunches online again. To create an account you will need your child's district ID number.
