Celebrating Our IHS IB Class of '25

The Inderkum IB Graduates of 2025 were able to view their IB course grades in July, and now they have their actual IB Diplomas and Certificates. This is our tenth cohort, and we find ourselves as proud as ever! 121 students completed all the requirements for at least one IB Diploma Programme course. That includes 20 IB Diploma Candidates (names italicized) who took all their classes at the IB DP level plus completed extra requirements. Ninety percent of that group succeeded in earning their diplomas.

The students were amazingly involved in our community, at Inderkum and beyond. Many overcame hardships in order to achieve their goals. We welcomed a new IB course this year: Sports, Exercise & Health Science SL, which also is our first one-year DP course. Our alumni are now beginning their next steps. They were accepted everywhere from military service to community colleges, most of the CSUs, all of the UCs, many out-of-state campuses, private universities and even multiple European universities. A handful are taking gap years or going directly to work. We hope to hear back about their educational adventures.

I realize the names may be hard to read. Don't forget that you can zoom in on your screen.

It was a hard decision, but Andrew Hong was chosen as Inderkum's IB Diploma Programme Student of the Year for his outstanding scholastic achievements and exemplifying what being a well-rounded person means. Funds for his award came from the California Association of IB World Schools (CAWS).

The fabulous Inderkum IB Committee fundraised in order to present $5,000 of scholarships to five students. We're so appreciative of their efforts to support and celebrate our students, and the program wouldn't be the same without events such as the Back to School BBQ and the subsidized college tours.

Seniors complete a survey for me yearly. Most gave permission to share their next destination. Finally, even though each can only enroll in one, the list of 113 colleges, universities and programs where they were accepted is quite impressive and will give you a sense of Tigers' aspirations!

Once again, don't forget that you can zoom in on your screen.
