Message from the Principal
Dear Stella May Swartz School Community,
As we wrap up this school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire school community for welcoming me with such warmth and support during my first year at Stella May Swartz. It has been a year full of learning, growing, and building connections, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a dedicated and caring school family.
Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of leading this wonderful school. I am so incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together and excited for what lies ahead. Your partnership and commitment to our students’ success have been inspiring, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you.
I want to wish everyone a joyful, safe, and restful summer break—see you in the fall, ready for another great year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karen Marino

Important Notice for 2025–26 School Year Registration
Important Notice for 2025–2026 School Year Registration
Students who are NOT returning or NOT fully registered in Skyward (this may also include proving residency if you were asked to provide) for the 2025–2026 school year will be required to turn in their Chromebooks and chargers. To avoid turning in your device for the summer, you must be fully registered by May 23rd. Please log in to Skyward, click on the Returning Student section, update your information, and submit it as soon as possible. Just a reminder, there are no registration fees this year!
Thank you for your prompt attention! If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your school's office.
Summer Chromebook Use
Salt Creek School District 48 all district-issued Chromebooks (and chargers) go home with students for summer use. All Chromebook activity will continue to be filtered and logged. However, the District will not be actively monitoring the activity until school resumes and students will only be allowed to access district approved educational materials. This only applies to students in grades 1 through 7 who are fully registered for the 25-26 school year. Summer technology will not be an option for our current kindergarten students, as those Chromebooks remain in Kindergarten each year.
We will not be able to do repairs throughout the summer, so if your child's device has any issues during this time, please email their school's administrative assistant and principal. We can work together on a solution that works best for you.
If you would like to opt-out of having your child keep their device for the summer, please email Gerrie Aulisa at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org. If no response is received, and your child is fully registered, then your child will be sent home with their Chromebook.
