Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Hello Main Street Family,
Dear Main Street Families,
This has been an exciting week at Main Street! Our students participated in our PBIS House Color Reveal, and the energy and school spirit were incredible to see.
đź“‹ Family Survey
Please take a few minutes to complete our family survey. Your feedback is important, and it also helps our students! The class with the highest participation rate will win a prize—let’s make sure your child’s class has a chance to celebrate.
🥜 Nut-Free School Reminder
We are a nut-free school. Please do not send peanut products with your child, including peanut butter or items containing peanut butter. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe.
đź“… Attendance Matters
Congratulations! Our attendance rate has improved—77% of students are attending school 90% or more of the time, up from 69%! That means most students have missed just one day or less this year. Our goal is to reach 80%, and we need your help:
-
Please ensure your child arrives on time each morning.
-
Avoid early dismissals whenever possible.
Every minute of instruction counts, and together we can set every child up for success!
đź’§ Water Bottles
Please send your child with a refillable water bottle daily. While we do not have water fountains in the building, students are able to refill bottles throughout the day.
Thank you for your partnership and support in making Main Street a great place to learn and grow!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
With gratitude,
Ms. Darnell Medley
Principal
Proud to serve our amazing school community!

October's SEL Calendar
Mark your calendars! Our first PTO meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:00 PM. Come learn more about how you can get involved, support our school, and help make this year amazing for our students!
CUSD Technology Usage
Parents and Guardians:
Chromebooks or other technological devices are used in class for students to complete assignments and assessments.. Students may not download games, wallpapers or participate in video group discussions. Improper use of technology could result in the student losing privileges of using the school's device.
Main Street Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Today, Mrs. Vazquez’s fourth graders celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by enjoying a traditional Spanish dish of rice and beans! 🎉 The students loved it so much, many asked for seconds!
PBIS House Reveal
Our school community came together for an exciting House Reveal and PBIS Kickoff celebration! Our scholars proudly displayed their Tiger Pride by living out the ROAR expectations—Respect, On Task, Act Safely, and Responsible. The day was filled with energy and fun as students chalked positive messages around campus, tested their knowledge with PBIS trivia, and cheered on staff and parents during a lively inflatable Dino race. To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a cool treat with freeze pops. It was a wonderful way to launch the year with school spirit and positivity, and we can’t wait to see our scholars continue to ROAR with Tiger Pride all year long!
All students must report to school in uniform everyday!
Car Line
Parents:
Please refrain from making u turns in the car line during dismissal. The safety of our children and parents is of utmost importance to us. We would like to move the cars through the line without any disruptions.
