Principal Message
Dear Families,
It was an exciting day on Friday for our Grade 6 students who enjoyed the PTA-Sponsored Monster Bash! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA representatives, teachers, and parent volunteers for making the day so special for our students. Your time and energy help make events like this so memorable!
We are already halfway through the trimester, and progress reports are now available for you to view. Please take a moment to check in on your child’s progress, and reach out directly to their teachers with any questions or concerns. Open communication between home and school is key to a successful year for all students.
We are looking forward to connecting with you during Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 28th and 30th. These meetings are a great opportunity to discuss your child’s growth and goals for the rest of the school year.
This Monday, we’ll celebrate our next Mental Health Monday! Students and staff are encouraged to wear something that represents a healthy lifestyle whether it’s activewear, team gear, or something that makes you feel good!
A reminder that Wednesday, October 22nd, is an Early Release Day. Students will be dismissed at 11:15 a.m. Please be sure to update your child’s dismissal plan in Pick-up Patrol for the afternoon.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are so grateful for our wonderful school community!
Warm regards,
Billie-Jo Martin
Principal, Windham Center School

IMPORTANT PTC MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It appears that there has been some confusion with scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences, as multiple parents have signed up for more than one conference. To ensure that all families have the opportunity to meet with a teacher, please carefully follow the guidelines below when scheduling your conference.
Grade 5 Parents/Guardians:
Please schedule one conference only with your student’s homeroom teacher. You will have the opportunity to meet with the other teacher in the spring.Grade 6 Parents/Guardians:
Please schedule one conference only with one of your student’s content teachers. You will have the opportunity to meet with another teacher in the spring.
Because each teacher works with a large number of students and there are only a limited number of conference times available over the two nights, it is essential that each family schedules just one conference at this time.
If you have already scheduled with more than one teacher, please select the one teacher you would like to meet with and cancel the additional conferences so that all families have a chance to meet with a teacher.
In addition to the grade-level conferences mentioned above, parents and guardians may also schedule meetings with Unified Arts teachers and Special Educators if they wish to discuss their child’s progress in those areas.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure that every family has an opportunity to connect with a teacher. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
B.J. Martin

SKI CLUB
Hello WCS Families,
We are pleased to announce that Ski Club will take place again this year! We will be going to Pat’s Peak on Thursday nights in January for five fun-filled nights of skiing and snowboarding (January 8, 15, 22, 29 & Feb. 5). Students of all levels are welcome to sign up, as there are lessons at the mountain.
This year, sign-ups will be emailed out on October 25th at 9:00 AM to allow for early bird pricing and for all families to have an option to sign up. (To receive early pricing, registration must be paid in FULL on or before 11/15/25.) Sign-ups will be first-come, first-served, and can be very competitive. When you go to sign up, you will need the names and numbers of TWO emergency contacts ready to be entered. If your child does not make the cut-off for the club, please email jlemay@windhamsd.org AND scronin@windhamsd.org, as email time stamps will also create the waitlist.
If you are new to Ski Club, here is some overview information:
