If selected, you’ll receive an email from Miss Kelly and be added to the Schoology group where all communication takes place.

Applications are due by May 14.
Our first meeting will be held on May 20 at 7:15 a.m. in Miss Kelly’s room (C203).

The Lakeville South Girls Track & Field team claimed its 13th consecutive True Team Section Championship, showcasing the program’s remarkable depth and consistency.

Despite a few early setbacks, the girls put together a strong, resilient performance, steadily building momentum to secure their 13th consecutive True Team Section Championship with a score of 1003.5. They outpaced tough competition from Mankato West (906.5) and Mankato East (877.5), earning a spot at the upcoming True Team State Meet on May 16 in Stillwater.

Unlike traditional meets, True Team scoring values every athlete’s finish, making depth and consistency crucial. Key event winners included Eva Welsch (100 Hurdles, High Jump), Avery Sandmann (300 Hurdles), and Amaya Pahl (Discus). Notable runner-up finishes came from Sandmann, Mackenzie Crawford (Long Jump), and the 4x100 relay team of Gabby Kyei, Anuandra Evans, Trinity Jensen, and Finley Graden.

The team's depth showed with top-3 finishes in all four relays and strong representation across nearly every event. Special recognition went to alternates Violet Schultz and Kai Emerson for stepping up when needed, and to Faye Braun for gutting out both the 1600 and 3200 in the heat.

Individual highlights also included several athletes breaking into the school’s all-time top 20 performance list, with standout contributions from Eva Welsch, who ranks top 5 in multiple events.

The team will now get ready for The 2025 Minnesota State True Team Track and Field Meet at Eden Prairie High School. Good luck Cougars!

• Friday, May 16 & Saturday, May 17
• Class AAA: Friday: field events 3:10 p.m., running 4:00 p.m.

Senior, Gavin Bonnerup shot a perfect 50 last week and is the Lakeville South Clay Target team's top shot among his 53 teammates. Way to go, Gavin!
