This year has been one of challenge, growth, and teamwork for the Providence Hall Volleyball team. Competing in a new and highly competitive region, the team faced strong opponents and responded with determination, positivity, and unity.

Coach Benson shared that the team has adjusted incredibly well to the change. “We have the number one and number two teams from 3A last year in our region, and the girls came in excited to play such great teams,” he said. “They have remained competitive, positive, and committed through late nights, long travel, and the addition of a freshman team. It has been all hands on deck, and they have made the best of it all.”

The foundation of their success, Coach Benson said, is simple: each other. “The strength of the team is the team. They have shown that all year,” she added.

Players agreed that teamwork and connection have made all the difference. Symphony Johnson said, “I loved the challenge of the new region. It helped us grow, communicate, and become a better team. We are all like one big family, and that helps us stay strong.” Leeah Petersen echoed that sentiment, adding, “It’s been difficult but really rewarding to see us compete against higher-ranked teams and still end up successful. Knowing that we all have each other’s backs has helped us stay confident and focused.”

Memorable moments from the season included tournaments in Wendover and Ogden, where the team bonded, faced adversity, and showed true resilience. “Even through injuries and setbacks, the girls stepped up, encouraged each other, and never gave up,” Coach Benson said. “It was a proud coach moment to see their attitudes and effort never waver.”

For the players, the season’s success goes far beyond the scoreboard. Symphony reflected, “This season means growth, building friendships, and becoming a better teammate and player.” Leeah added, “The girls are like family to me. Seeing us win and be happy makes me more than happy.”

From their first open gym to the final serve, this Providence Hall Volleyball team has embodied what it means to grow together, lift one another up, and play with heart. Their season stands as a testament to teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of the game.

Providence Hall High School is excited to celebrate all the incredible students who represent our school through athletics and activities — both on the field and beyond it!

This year, we’re offering personalized PHHS yard signs so families can proudly show their support for their student’s hard work, dedication, and school spirit. Whether your student plays on the field, performs on stage, marches with the band, leads in Student Council, or serves in NJROTC — this is your chance to showcase their Patriot pride right at home!

For our fall athletes, the signs can be customized with sport, name, and jersey number, making each one uniquely theirs. Activities and programs without jersey numbers will have beautifully designed, general signs that still highlight their team or group.

Signs are just $20 each, and proceeds from this campaign go directly to benefit PHHS students and programs.

Pre-orders are open now.

Thank you for helping us celebrate every Patriot who contributes to the heart of Providence Hall — from the athletes who give their all on the field to the students who make our school community shine through leadership, service, and the arts.

Did you know any student participating in an official sport or activity can benefit from our Sponsorship Program? Sponsors help cover student participation fees, and once those are paid, extra funds go right back to support your team or activity. Plus, sponsors get community recognition with banners, shout-outs, and more.

Check out the full program below—this is a great way for families, friends, and local businesses to support our Patriots!
