August 4, 2023

Lutherville Families,

We hope you are thoroughly enjoying your summer! The McComb family made the most of summer with trips to the beach and an epic Disney World and Disney Cruise trip in July. Most importantly, we enjoyed a lot of time together.

While students still have three wonderful weeks of summer before school returns, I did want to begin to share information as we ramp up for the year. Attached to this newsletter is the Welcome Back letter with updates and information for the year ahead.

If you have not already shopped, the school supply list is attached here and is available under the "parent" section of the school website.

Please mark your calendars for "Sneak-A-Peek at Your Seat" on Thursday, August 24th. More details on timing and details for student return is in the letter attached.

Like last year, a second, transportation-specific letter will come with further details as they come to us from the Office of Transportation.

In partnership,

-Mr. McComb

Boundary Study -- Reminder and Deadline

As shared in a July 14th email notice, Lutherville Laboratory is participating in a Central Area Capacity Relief Boundary Study process this fall. The boundary study committee will convene on seven occassions between September and January, including public information meetings, in order to provide the Board of Education with a recommended path forward for the area.

That letter from July is attached to this newsletter. Today, August 4th, is the deadline to share interest in representing Lutherville Lab on the committee. A link to do so is included in the letter.

Class Assignments

Class assignments are scheduled to go live on August 11th. They may be accessed through the BCPS Parent Focus Portal or the new "Team BCPS - Focus" smartphone app, which is available for both Apple and Android smartphones.
