Student Resources
Linked below is a student resource site that contains tons of valuable information for MHS students.
Dress Code & ID Enforcement
Thank you for your support as we continue to enforce the MISD Dress Code and ID requirements on campus. The vast majority of our students are in compliance and we are very appreciative!
Common dress code infractions we continue to see are rips in jeans that were higher than fingertip length and crop tops. These are in violation of the MISD Dress Code.
Students are expected to follow the MISD Dress Code linked below:
https://www.misd.gs/student-life/dress-code
If a student is found to be out of dress code, they will be sent to their Assistant Principal (AP). If the student can correct the issue, they will be allowed to return to class. If the issue cannot be corrected, disciplinary action will be taken.
If a student is late to class because they are out of dress code and are trying to correct the issue, they will be counted tardy.
All students are required to wear a current MHS ID badge at all times when they are in the building. If a student refuses to comply with this safety expectation, disciplinary action will be taken.
IDs For Every MHS Student
Each student must wear a school ID every day at school. Students can purchase a temporary for $1.00 if left at home. If it is lost, a replacement can be purchased for $5.00.
Temporary and replacement ID's can be purchased in the Library and both AP Offices (north end and south end).
Reminder: Food Deliveries Not Accepted
We only permit students to have food delivered by a parent or guardian reflected on their Skyward account.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Attendance
When a student checks out with attendance and then returns to school at a later time, that student will need to check back in through the attendance office before resuming their normal schedule.

MISD Visitor Procedures
MISD Visitor Procedures
MISD prioritizes the safety and security of our staff and students. We ask our MISD visitors to help us in the effort to keep kids as safe as possible. MISD appreciates your patience as we follow these procedures. To learn more about campus security and visitor guidelines, visit https://bit.ly/3QqqQzl.
MISD Athletics - Tickets
As a reminder, we strictly enforce the clear bag policy and there are no outside food or drinks allowed in our venues.

MISD Events & Athletics- Student Attendance
MHS Community-
We enjoy having great crowds at student events such as concerts, sporting events, and performances to support our Panthers . We would like to take a moment to remind students that attendance at after school events is a privilege and we expect the following expectations are met:
1. Student spectators in attendance at events have their school ID with them at all times.
2. Student spectators adhere to the MISD student code of conduct at all times and conduct themselves in a way that is respectful to themselves, others, and the facilities.
3. Student spectators are to be picked up and depart MISD property within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the event. Any student waiting on a ride after an event is to wait in the area designated by the administrator on duty. This is to ensure all students are supervised while waiting for a ride. Students who are not picked up within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the event are subject to having event attendance privileges removed for a period of time.
Thank you for making our events spirited and safe for all!
PARKING PERMITS!
Seniors Parking Spaces
We still have several spots available for purchase to paint/reserve for the school year. We are extending the deadline to account for anyone who did not purchase during schedule pickup.
You must have your driver's license and have purchased a parking permit in order to purchase a reserved senior spot.
Currently we have available:
- 20 Full Painted Spots ($140)
- 45 Banner/Stripe Spots ($50)
Please remember that payment for these spots differs depending on type.
In order to purchase a full painted spot, please bring cash or check as well as proof of your parking permit purchase to the South Admin office (815) during lunch. Ms. Condarco has the maps, can take payment and let you select your spot.
In order to purchase a banner/stripe spot, you can pay through Zelle, PayPal or Venmo. All funds for these spots go to Project Graduation, so this is a great opportunity to support your class! Once you have paid for your spot, you will bring receipt of payment to the South Admin office during lunch so that you can select your spot.

- If using Pay Pal, you must use "friends and family" or you will be responsible for the fees charged to Project Graduation

MHS Procedures & Expectations
ARRIVAL:
Doors will open at 7:45am. Staff is on duty to help guide you and answer questions. Unless you are part of a before school practice or rehearsal or have a tutoring pass from a teacher, students are held in the cafeteria until 8:15 am each morning. At 8:15, we will dismiss all students to 1st period.
IDs:
All students must wear a current MISD ID at all times when they are in the building.
If you have misplaced the ID you picked up at schedule pick up, you can purchase a new ID in each AP office or the Library. Replacement IDs are $5 for the printed ID card, lanyard, and ID badge holder. Temporary ID stickers may be purchased for $1. MHS accepts cash or checks for replacement IDs.
SCHEDULES:
Student schedules are live and viewable in Skyward. Students must log in to Skyward using their single sign-in (Google) authentication. Students new to MISD or those without a device can stop by the counseling center for a printed schedule.
LUNCH:
MHS has 4 lunch periods that are connected to 4th period. Your teacher will tell you what lunch period you have on the first day of school. Students are required to stay in the cafeteria or approved surrounding areas designated for eating during their lunch period.
For the 2022 – 2023 school year, schools are required to return to charging for school meals. The program flexibility provided by the federal government has expired; therefore, meals are no longer free. The Child Nutrition Department does partner with MySchoolBucks which allows parents to deposit money for meals. Click HERE for all breakfast and lunch menus and HERE for meal prices.
MHS does not permit food deliveries from vendors such as DoorDash, UberEats, restaurant delivery, etc. Only meals delivered directly by parents on a student's Skyward profile as a guardian are accepted. Parents- if you drop off a lunch, please label it with your student's name and leave it with the receptionist in the front office. Your student will have to show their MHS ID to retrieve their food.
CHROMEBOOKS:
Make sure you bring your charged Chromebook. If you are new to MHS and do not yet have a device, you will be called down to the library Tech Hub to do this as soon as we have them available. No worries! We will get you a Chromebook as soon as possible!
TRANSPORTATION:
If you ride a bus, be sure you have completed your Bus Rider Contract. You will be dropped off near the cafeteria and enter door 29 in the mornings. The bus pick up location is in the South parking lot. We have staff on duty to help students find their bus.
If you are a car rider, you may be dropped off in either the front of the building (using the drop off loop in the front) or in the North parking lot (lot entry is from Walter Stephenson). You may either enter Door 1 (front door), Door 37 (near auditorium) or Door 29 (cafeteria doors).
If you drive, be sure you complete the parking application and pay for the parking pass by Friday of the first full week of school. See Mr. Melton- his office is very near the cafeteria- to purchase a parking pass. These will be sold before school and during lunches.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
If you need some school supplies, please see Mrs. Wolf, our College & Career Liaison. Her office is directly across from the Counseling Center. We have free supplies to give away!
