A Message From Your Principal
Dear EWS Families,
What an extraordinary, vibrant week it has been at Eames Way School! Our halls and classrooms have been brimming with energy, creativity, and the undeniable joy of learning as we head into the final stretch of the school year.
We kicked things off with the excitement of the Pinewood Derby, followed by the impressive brilliance on display at the 4th Grade Energy Expo. Our creative thinkers in the 5th Grade hosted their incredible "Unfair Fair," teaching us all a bit about probability and design through a lot of fun. We also experienced the breathtaking Spring Celebration of the Arts, complete with stellar musical performances and a gallery of fabulous art masterpieces. A massive shout-out to Mr. Canzano, Mr. Larson, Miss Matheson, Ms. Schoepflin, and Ms. Voss for their dedication to instilling a deep love of music and art in our students! We cap off these celebrations with our highly anticipated Field Day and Volunteer Appreciation Day. Truly, it takes a village, and we are profoundly aware of how fortunate we are to have all of you in ours.
As we approach next week—our final week of the school year—I want to extend my deepest, most sincere gratitude to all of our families. We are immensely thankful for your unwavering support, your trust, and your heartfelt collaboration. It is through our partnership that our students do not merely grow—they truly flourish.
Thank you for walking alongside us this year and making Eames Way School such a beautiful place for children to thrive.
With gratitude,
Ms. Bishop

Nurse Update
Medication pick up by June 26th:
All medication kept at Eames Way School must be picked up by the last day of school, which is June 26th with an early dismissal at 12:05 pm. All medication MUST be picked up by a parent, guardian or parent-designated adult. Students are not permitted to transport medications home. The school is unable to properly store medications over the summer. Any medication remaining at school after the last student day will be properly disposed of. This includes all prescription and non-prescription medications, inhalers, and Epipens. Please reach out to Nurse White at awhite@mpsd.org or 781-319-3945 to make alternative arrangements prior to the end of the school year. Thank you for your cooperation.
Reminders as the weather changes:
Hydration: Please be sure your child brings a water bottle to school each day-preferably one that is easily refillable at our refill stations.
Snacks: Please remember to send in a healthy snack for your child everyday.
Clothing: Have children dress in layers-the building can become quite warm, and children can overheat very easily.
Sun safety: Sunscreen must be applied at home before coming to school.
Tick safety: Bug spray must be applied at home before coming to school. There has been an increase in the prevalence of ticks. Parents should frequently check their children for ticks, especially around the ankles, legs, and head region after coming inside from any outdoor activities.
Lunch Menu & Nutrition Update
Breakfast and lunch are free options to all students for the 2025-2026 school year. Please note, breakfast is available upon arrival from 8:35-8:50 am, however, students can also get breakfast during the morning once the school day starts if they skipped breakfast or forgot their snack. For more information, please visit MPSD School Nutrition.
My School Bucks is an online account for families to easily manage and pay for school meals, a la carte items (such as ice cream), etc. These accounts stay with students throughout grades K-12 and funds can be replenished when balances get low. Here's the information from the MPSD Nutrition webpage on how to set up your account - My School Bucks.

Volunteering at EWS
CORI applications need to be redone every few years and we are currently in a three-year cycle covering 2023-2026. All volunteers need to complete a CORI, even if you were approved prior to 2023. Please visit the Front Office to complete a CORI application and provide a copy of your license - it will only take a minutes. Applications are then reviewed by MPSD Central Office, which can take up to a week to process. If you have any questions, please contact Val Quigley (781-834-5090 or vquigley@mpsd.org).
However, to clarify, if you have an approved CORI from last year, it is still valid for this school year!
