On June 16, Long Beach Middle School students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of professions during the school’s annual Career Fair, held in the gymnasium. The event offered an interactive experience, allowing students to rotate through career-focused stations and engage directly with professionals from diverse fields.
Representatives from law enforcement, fire services, healthcare, education, the arts, and literature shared their career journeys and insights. Students connected with police officers, firefighters, nurses, teachers, artists, authors, and more—each providing hands-on demonstrations and real-world perspectives. These experiences gave students a clearer understanding of the daily responsibilities and essential skills required in each profession.
Presenters also highlighted the educational and career pathways that led them to their current roles, offering valuable guidance to students as they begin thinking about their own futures.
Beyond career exploration, the fair strengthened connections between the school and the broader community. Many of the volunteers were Long Beach residents and alumni, bringing local relevance and inspiration to the event.
