A Word from Our Interventionists for the 24-25 School Year
Meeting students where they are...
Once students take the iReady Benchmark, the scores are analyzed and any student who is below grade level in certain areas, are given a Reading Success Plan, or RSP or a Math Success Plan, or MSP. This plan gives the teachers a detailed plan of instruction for that student, gives the student specific goals and gives us a place to store all of our data for that student's growth. It is a valuable piece to student's success in both reading and math. Both the classroom teachers and interventionists use this plan to provide instruction for our students.
When students are 2 or more grade levels below in multiple areas, they go to Title One Reading and Math with Mrs. Lucy and Mrs. Hill. In these classes, they are with 2-4 other students who are struggling in the same areas as them. The Interventionist provides specific, intentional instruction for that group of students. This is an integral part of helping those students reach grade level and their highest potential.
