Gator News!
October 23rd Edition
Hi Ganiard Families!
Next week we have our Fall Fun Day on Friday! Students can bring costumes to change into after lunch if they would like. Please be sure to review the guidelines below. If you are in need of a costume, please reach out to Mrs. Weber and/or your classroom teacher!
Our PTO has great news to share! We surpassed our walk-a-thon goal of 5,000 dollars and raised just over 6,200 dollars! This money will go directly back to our students! Our top class was Ms. Donovan's class, and I was pied over 60 times today! Whew! What a day! Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful school.
As we have come back from having a few days off, classrooms are revisiting their classroom social contracts. These are the guidelines that the class has agreed to follow to keep classrooms a great place to be! Ask your child what is on their social contract!

Gator Winners!
Each week, we do a couple of "Gator" pulls. If a student is selected, they come down to the office for a special prize! Here are this week's winners!
CKH Students of the Month!
Each month we have a new theme that we teach to students. This month we talked about Empathy! Every adult as the opportunity to nominate a student for demonstrating this month's theme. Each of these students will get special recognition on my morning announcements on Monday and will get a certificate and a book from the book vending machine! Congrats Gators!

Boundaries and Personal Space: PreK-5th Grade: Learning to keep our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves helps build a safe, comfortable classroom where everyone can learn and play happily. Personal space is like an invisible bubble around each person—and we always want to respect each other's bubbles! Grades 6–12: School is mean to be a safe, comfortable place where everyone can learn. An Important part of this is respecting the boundaries of our fellow classmates. This means keeping hands to yourself, respecting ones autonomy, and understanding consent. A joke or friendly gesture is only fun if both people are comfortable with it. If someone asks for space, honor it immediately without debate. If you aren't sure if someone is comfortable with something, just ask. If you don't ask, assume the answer is they are NOT comfortable, before assuming that they are. As always, stay safe! - Officer McGregor
