Greetings Stallions Families!
Happy Monday! With only a few days remaining on the school calendar, our classrooms are filled with a sense of energy and pride in everything we’ve achieved together. As we head into this final stretch, I am inspired by the continued dedication and hard work our students are displaying across every subject.
To help us finish this "race" as strongly as possible, please ensure your children continue to follow our campus schedule and arrive on time; our doors open promptly at 8:10 AM. Let's make these final days count!
Additionally, to honor our students' achievements, please save the dates for our upcoming End-of-Year Learning Celebrations:
Pre-K through 4th Grade: Tuesday, May 19th
5th Grade: Thursday, May 21st (9:30am - 10:30am)
More information coming soon, including specific event times and instructions on how to complete your Raptor visitor registration early to save time at check-in. We look forward to celebrating with you!
We are grateful for our wonderful families and look forward to a great rest of the week filled with learning, laughter, and warmer days ahead!
Our All-Star Stallions' team is excited to team up with you in ensuring this school year is our best yet. Thank you for being an important part of our school family. Let’s make this year our best yet!

Doors Open At 8:10 AM
Dear Parents
Please be advised that our doors open promptly at 8:10 AM, which means I need your help with early drop-offs. If you are dropping your child off before 8:10 AM, please remind them not to run, kick any type of playground balls, hit others, or play games that involve running or chasing. We have noticed an increase in inappropriate behaviors in the front, and we need your help to ensure these behaviors stop.
Please note that the front drop-off area is not supervised by staff before 8:10 AM. We do have YMCA services conveniently located inside our building from 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM for your convenience. Please contact the YMCA at (281) 392-5055 or jocole.rogers@ymcahouston.org for more information.
Additionally, if you arrive after 8:30 AM, you must park your car, walk your child into the building, and complete the tardy form in the foyer using the iPad provided. This is an expectation for all students arriving late.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding our requests. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter.
Regards,
Ms. Langley

ALL TRANSPORTATION CHANGES MUST BE MADE WITH THE FRONT OFFICE.
Attendance Notes: All attendance-related documentation, including absence notices and doctor’s notes, should be emailed to usecommunications@katyisd.org. This ensures timely and accurate updates to your student’s attendance record. Please include your student’s full name, grade level, and the date(s) of the absence.
Student Delivers: To ensure timely delivery of items such as lunches, water bottles, and homework/assignments, please bring them to the school by 10:00 AM. This helps us make sure your child receives everything they need before their day begins. Thank you for your cooperation!
Early Pick-up: Picking up students before the end of the school day will result in a partial-day absence. If your student has a doctor, dentist, or other medical appointment, please provide documentation from the provider to the front office upon return. Students needing to be picked up early for afternoon / after school appointments must be picked up prior to 3:00pm.
Safety Reminder: Morning Drop Off
Please remember that our morning drop-off procedures are in place to keep students safe. Not following these procedures creates safety concerns for all students being dropped off and for our staff and safety patrol members who are assisting with drop-off in the morning.
- Please drop off students by waiting in the drop-off line. Parking in the front is for parents who either have a scheduled appointment or need to conduct business on campus, not for drop-off. Having extra people crossing traffic in our drop-off line is hazardous.
- Please remind your students to exit on the sidewalk side of your vehicle and remain on the sidewalk.
Attention Parents of Car Riders - PM Dismissal
Please be in the car rider line by 3:35pm so that we can have students ready to meet you in the car rider line. At the beginning of the school year as students learn their car tag numbers, the line can move slower than usual. Within a week or two everyone gets into a routine and our car rider line finishes earlier. Parents who arrive after 3:55pm will be required to park and come to the front entrance with their pickup tag or photo ID in order to pick up your child. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parent/Guardian Lunch Visitors
We are again accepting lunch visitors during grade-level lunches. Visitors must be a parent or guardian listed on the student's registration. One additional adult may accompany the parent/guardian.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time to check in. Each parent/guardian may choose one day per week to eat lunch with their child. If there is additional demand, we may need to adjust this number. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attendance and School Hours
When children miss school, they miss more than just a day of lessons. Every absence can impact their learning, friendships, and confidence.
-
Learning: Each day builds on the next. Missing class can create gaps that, sadly, can be hard to catch up on.
-
Friendships: Children miss out on playing, learning, and connecting with their classmates.
-
Routines: Daily routines help children feel secure and successful at school.
-
Opportunities: Specials like art, PE, library, field trips/special programs, and small-group instruction/support are often missed when students are absent.
-
Future Success: Good attendance builds habits that can lead to stronger grades and long-term achievement.
EVERY DAY COUNTS! When children are in school regularly, they learn more, feel more confident, and build stronger connections.
- School Hours 8:23am - 3:40pm
- Tardy Bell Rings - 8:30am *Require Parents to enter the building to sign-in students
- ***Students are marked ABSENT if they arrive AFTER 9:50am***
- Early Dismissal Time (according to Katy ISD Calendar)- 12:25pm

Bus Routes & Smart Tag Bus Tracking App
If your student is a bus rider, look for the white route number on the side of the bus when tracking their bus this school year! And make sure to download the Smart tag™ app from your mobile Google Play Store or Apple App Store! The Smart Tag app allows parents to set their preferred notifications, including when their child’s bus is expected to arrive. You can also see when and where your student boards and exits the bus.
Look for the white route number
Smart Tag App for Bus Tracking
QR Code to download Smart Tag App
The SMART Tag system allows parents, bus drivers, and school staff to track when and where students are picked up or dropped off in real time. Eligible students will receive ID cards with SMART Tag info, which are scanned each time they enter or exit the bus. Parents can monitor their child’s bus activity through the SMART Tag Parent Web Portal. Additional details will be emailed to parents of eligible riders. This system replaces the Edulog Lite app used previously by Katy ISD.

Friendly Reminder Katy ISD Is Cashless - Pay N Go the Way To Go!
As a reminder, this school year, Katy ISD campuses and facilities are moving toward an online payment model for most school-related fees. This effort is part of a districtwide initiative to enhance safety by limiting on-campus cash handling, while also giving families access to secure and convenient 24/7 payment options.
What’s not changing:
- School cafeterias will continue to accept cash for student meal purchases.
- PTAs, PTOs and booster clubs are not affected by this change and may continue collecting funds through their regular processes.
Katy ISD will continue to use Pay N’ Go for online transactions, along with a few district-approved vendors for specific types of purchases.
For families who need to make payments using cash, Parent Pay Hub stations will be available at the following locations:
North: Katy ISD Law Enforcement Center
20370 Franz Rd, Katy, TX 77449
Hours: Accepting Payments 24-hours Monday - Sunday
South: Katy ISD South Transportation & Police Center
3151 Falcon Landing Blvd. Katy, TX 77494
Hours: Available during Katy ISD business hours
We appreciate our families' support as we make this transition together, all with the shared goal of creating a safer, more convenient and supportive school experience for our students and staff
Zona Sur:
Centro de Transporte y Policía del Sur de Katy ISD
3151 Falcon Landing Blvd, Katy, TX 77494
Horario: Disponible durante el horario laboral de Katy ISD
Agradecemos el apoyo de nuestras familias durante esta transición, con el objetivo compartido de crear una experiencia escolar más segura, accesible y favorable para nuestros estudiantes y personal.
