Fisher Family Update
December 5, 2025

Dear Fisher Families,
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Thank you for your incredible generosity over the past few weeks! Because of your donations, every family in our community was able to enjoy a warm and plentiful holiday meal. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
As we move into the winter holiday season, we are once again collecting food and gift card donations to support some of our families. More information can be found below. If you are able to contribute, we are grateful for anything you can offer. Thank you for all you do to make the Fisher community such a place of warmth, care, and goodwill.
Please take a moment to review this edition of the Fisher Family Update for upcoming dates, meetings, and events.
Have a great weekend,
Brian

Scenes From Fisher
After reading Balloons Over Broadway, Miss Romano’s class made their own parade balloons and marched them through the classroom. They did an amazing job bringing the parade to life!
Before Thanksgiving, younger students read a few turkey themed books during STEM class. After reading, students were tasked with designing and building a turkey trap. Here are some of their amazing creations.
After taking inspiration from the book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet, groups of students spent the past few weeks creating their own versions of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The groups spent time planning, creating, and coding decorated robotic floats inspired by their favorite book characters. After a lot of hard work and determination, groups used their written algorithms to program their robotic floats through a parade route. I am very proud of the effort and grit that the students showed while working on their projects. I hope that you enjoy some of these snapshots from their parades.
Student Council donation to the Walpole Food Pantry
Thank you to all the families who contributed food to our drive. The van was stocked!
Holiday Giving
In the spirit of the holidays, Fisher School is offering 2 ways to help local families during the holiday season. We are looking for 15 complete holiday meals to support families in need. Each meal should provide dinner for 10 people (details below). In addition, and in lieu of gifts this year, we are asking for $100 gift cards to either Stop and Shop or the Big Y to support the families.
Phishing Scam Alert
Some schools in our area are seeing an uptick in scams targeting schools and parents. These scams will pretend to be from a principal or school official advertising a "special offer."
Please be aware that all authentic electronic communications from our schools and district will be delivered to you one of these channels:

Fisher School's Annual Holiday Singalong
Our Annual Fisher School Holiday Singalong is fast approaching!
Please fill out this survey so that I may be sure to include any special DECEMBER holiday/event that your family celebrates, so that we may ALL be included in this singalong:
Fisher's Holiday Singalong Survey
Fisher School invites you to our old-fashioned, Holiday Singalong, that we may ALL raise our voices together, letting EVERYONE in your family experience the joy of having THE ENTIRE FAMILY sing together,…and make memories that will last a lifetime!
Wednesday, December 17th, 2025
6:00-6:45pm and 7:15-8:00pm
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring a blanket big enough to seat your family, like at a summer picnic. Stake your spot in the auditorium!
Your blanket is for YOUR family (and grandparents, cousins, older and younger siblings,...)
This isn’t a “run around with your friends” night, but rather a night to snuggle up as a family - among the larger “Fisher family” - and sing a variety of songs that are celebrated by our families here in our school. Hearing parents, grandparents, cousins and siblings sing all together brings our ENTIRE Fisher family together and gives us memories that will last a lifetime!
(PARENTS: Choose which timeslot works best for your family. Those with toddlers may wish to come to the first one in order to get their children to bed. But…it’s a “WHATEVER WORKS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY” laidback event! I can’t wait to see you!)
Musically,
Mr. Holmes
