A Message from Ms. Osmerg
Dear Abbotts Hill Families,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your tremendous support of our PTA Fun Run fundraiser! Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make this event a huge success, and we are so grateful for your continued partnership.
A special thank you goes out to our amazing PTA and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to create such a memorable experience for our students. From organizing logistics to cheering on runners, your dedication truly made a difference. The students had an absolute blast—and I had so much fun cheering them on every step of the way!
As we continue to build strong connections between school and home, I want to remind you of the communication platforms we use to keep families informed:
- Hilltop Happenings: Our schoolwide newsletter is sent out weekly and includes important updates, event information, and highlights from around the school.
- Seesaw and Email: Teachers use Seesaw and email to communicate with families. If you are not yet connected via Seesaw, please reach out to your child’s teacher to get access.
- School Website: You can find school information on our website, which is easily accessible via the button at the top of our Hilltop Happenings newsletter.
- Friday Folders: Graded papers and flyers are sent home biweekly in our school Friday folders.
- Social Media: Follow our school’s Twitter account (@AbbottsHillES and @AHE_Principal) , and connect with me on Facebook (Principal Osmerg) and Instagram (@abbotts_hilles) where I share event flyers, photos, and updates from Hilltop Happenings. While social media is a great way to stay engaged, please remember that Hilltop Happenings and Seesaw are our primary sources for important school information.
We are also thrilled to share that Abbotts Hill Elementary has been named a PBIS Distinguished School! This honor reflects our collective commitment to fostering a positive learning environment where all students feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. Congratulations to our incredible students, dedicated staff, and engaged families—this achievement belongs to all of you. Thank you for helping us make Abbotts Hill a place where kindness, respect, and learning thrive every day.
Thank you again for your continued support and engagement. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful school community!
Have a #AHE-mazing week!
Jill Osmerg

Optional Device Insurance - Updated Instructions!
We are excited to share a new, simpler way for parents to sign up for the Optional Device Protection Plan for student devices. This plan provides families with affordable protection against accidental damage, loss, or theft of district-issued devices.
To support families, we’ve developed multiple resources:
- Step-by-step written instructions for different parent scenarios:
- New Parents / Parents adding a student to their household
- Existing Parents with a Parent Portal account
- New Parents creating a New Parent Portal account
- A short video walkthrough showing parents exactly how to complete the process.
These resources will also be posted on the FCS Strategy and Technology webpage for easy access.
