Chelsea Center
Experiential Education Opportunities for ALL students
August 27, 2026
The Chelsea Center is thrilled to welcome all of the joyful, curious, wonderful students of WGHS back to the halls this week! As a reminder, the Chelsea Center is an experiential learning center available to ALL STUDENTS right here within the high school. We work to match students with experiences aligned with careers they want to explore, passion areas of interest, and service learning opportunities. Our elective-credit classes, diverse array of one time opportunities, and personal assistance sessions are designed to help students find what lights them up inside. The Chelsea Center is available to all students. To become involved, students can drop by anytime to say hi and make an appointment, email us or use the form on our website, or request us for a Thursday Academic Networking session.
Did your student complete service learning over the summer?
The Chelsea Center also maintains the GivePulse database where students find service-learning opportunities and also record service hours they have completed. We use GivePulse to track those hours toward awards and designations for the Statesmen Service and A+ programs. Students can stop by our office in room 200 with their Chromebook anytime to get assistance logging their hours and using that system. We especially encourage students to track any hours they might have just completed over the summer while those experiences are still fresh in their minds. Please encourage them to come see us!
