The Gold Standard
New This Year: Track Your Child's Bus Ride with Smart Tag
Beginning this school year, Killeen ISD is introducing SMART Tag, a new transportation system designed to enhance student safety and keep families informed. All bus riders must use their student ID badge to board and exit the bus, and parents can download the SMART Tag app to receive real-time bus updates and track when their child gets on and off the bus.
Fueling Success: Free Meals for Every KISD Student
Every KISD student receives free breakfast, and free supper is available at all traditional campuses during the school year. Many campuses also provide free lunch through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), with no application required. If your child's campus is not a CEP school, complete a free and reduced-price meal application to determine eligibility for lunch benefits.
Record 153 KISD Students Earn National Recognition
A record 153 Killeen ISD students earned College Board BigFuture School Recognition Awards, recognizing their academic achievement and college readiness while opening doors to future college and scholarship opportunities.
