Hillside Happenings
April 10, 2026
Dear Hillside Families,
Welcome Back! π
We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating Spring Break. It is wonderful to see our hallways buzzing with energy again! This time of year is always a whirlwind of excitement as we dive into spring field trips and unique learning opportunities that take our students beyond the classroom walls.
Habits Around the Worldπ
Our Habits Around the World - Exploring Culture Through Leadership Event is right around the corner (May 13th). Please click here to sign up to participate: https://forms.gle/KTH74Z27Vqv2yLFi7
We are still in need of the following:
Welcome Table - Adults and Students (2-3 students and 2-3 adults for a 45 min shift (5:00 - 5:45, 5:45 - 6:30, 6:30 - 7:00)
Families can sign up for a table to share a cultural food sample in the cafeteria. We have 2 families so far, and can use at least 8 more.
Craft Stations in the Art Room - Families and students are needed to create crafts for their culture (We need at least 10)
Student Art on Display - We would love to display student art in any sort of medium. At least 10 art pieces are needed, and we have 1 so far.
Singing, Dancing, or Poetry in the Gym - Students would perform 3 times for around 3 minutes. (We need at least 5 additional performers.) We already have 5.

π STEAM Expansion: Girls Scouts Mobile Lab
We are thrilled to announce a major expansion of our partnership with the Girl Scouts Mobile STEAM Lab. Thanks to the success of last yearβs program, we are growing from four participating classes to 11 classes receiving free, hands-on STEAM lessons this year! We canβt wait to see the innovation and creativity our students display during these sessions.

π² Habit of the Month: Habit #7 β Sharpen the Saw
Our focus this month is Sharpen the Saw, which is all about balance and renewal. As a family, you can practice this habit together by creating and observing family traditions. Whether itβs a weekly game night, a special Sunday breakfast, or a unique handshake, building traditions shows that we value the needs of our family unit. Renewing these bonds is where true identity, fulfillment, and happiness are found.
Letβs make this spring our best season yet!
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Maas & Mrs. Amos
