πFrom the Counselors
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We wanted to let you know that our counseling team will be visiting classrooms over the next few weeks to provide important guidance lessons for our students.
6th Grade: Counselors will visit classrooms next week to discuss Conflict Resolution and Bullying.
8th Grade: Counselors will also meet with 8th grade classes next week to review Graduation Requirements and Four-Year Planning.
7th Grade: Counselors will visit 7th grade classrooms during the week of December 2nd to explore High School Endorsements.
These lessons are designed to support studentsβ academic, personal, and social development as they prepare for success in middle school and beyond.
We invite you to visit our Counseling Website to take a peek at the lesson materials and learn more about the topics your child will be exploring.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow and thrive!
π₯From the Nurse
The Texas Legislature mandates health screenings for students in specific grade levels to help identify potential concerns early. These screenings will take place during the school day on November 18, 2025 for Spinal Screening.
If all screenings cannot be completed in one day, they may be continued on a subsequent day.
Required Screenings by Grade Level:
8th Grade Boys: Spinal Screening
7th Grade Girls: Spinal Screening
To ensure accurate results, students who wear glasses or contact lenses should bring or wear them on screening day. Families of students who are identified as needing further evaluation will receive a referral letter following the screenings.
Nurse Hannah Baio is here to partner with you in supporting the health and well-being of our students. Please feel free to reach out to her with any questions or concerns.

π Campus Goals at a Glance
Together We Prosper
Our Student Council and NJHS representatives worked hard to host our Veterans Day breakfast earlier this week, where we honored several Veterans who are parents or grandparents of Hays students. Our guests enjoyed breakfast, performances by band, choir, and orchestra, and meaningful speeches delivered by NJHS and Student Council representatives. We are especially honored to have Veterans Ms. Jagers, Mr. Hertwig, and Mr. Brooks serve our school everyday!
Additionally, Ms. Wilson and Hays Hope Squad members did a phenomenal job this week as we welcomed guests from Poland who came to learn about Hope Squad in our schools. We're especially proud of our students who offered such critical perspective and voice about the importance of spreading hope and taking care of one another!
Together We Cultivate
Our Unstoppable Athletes had a great day of bocce ball with their Partners. The friendly competition provides opportunities for students to work on a variety of skills and celebrate successes!
We're proud of all of our students who qualified to participate in our Campus Spelling Bee! Congratulations to Champion Hiya S. and Runner-Up Nayonika S. Next up: the District Spelling Bee in December!

Prosper ISD CTE Wants to Hear From YOU!
Prosper ISDβs Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs help students discover passions, build real-world skills, and prepare for future careers β and your feedback matters!
