In the month of January there were 34 behavior referrals including 23 majors and 11 minors. Of those, 22 referrals originated in a classroom, 7 from the cafeteria, and 3 in the hallway. Physical aggression, disrespect, and defiance were the most commonly referred behaviors. A special acknowledgement to our 4th grade students who generated 0 referrals for the month of January.

As we move into the month of February, the SWPBS committee will be looking to help spread some love. As mentioned previously, our faculty and student committee members have thought up some fun ways to do this and we will be sharing them out after we meet again. We are looking forward to help bring the winter months to a close with some positive vibes, even if Phil wants it to stay cold a little longer.

We ask that you review with your child appropriate behavior at school.

This Month in Classroom Champions is all about Perseverance

This month in Classroom Champions, Rosie will be talking about another one of my favorite topics, Teamwork! Our students know that my favorite phrase is "Teamwork making the Dream Work!"

This month, our students will learn that through the development of teamwork skills, students learn the communication tools that help great a great team and strategies to get along with others, including how to resolve conflict in heathy ways.

Our February Citizen of the Month will focus on someone who shows great Teamwork!

See what Rosie has to teach us about Teamwork this month:
