Compass Learning Program (Formerly Safe and Sacred)
The Compass Children's Learning Curriculum is not sex education but personal safety, which
includes information regarding improper touching, relationships, and how to deal with uncomfortable situations. In addition, the Compass Children's Learning Curriculum clearly emphasizes to children and youth the need to report such incidents to parents, teachers, or to others in authority.
Please Fill out the "Compass Opt-Out Form" ONLY if you don't want your child learning about it. You may look through the curriculum (by grade-level) below. If you opt-out, please bring a signed form to the office.

Basketball Gym Manager Needed
As we prepare for the upcoming basketball season, we are looking for one or more people to serve as our Basketball Gym Manager(s)!
This is an important role in helping our basketball host days run smoothly. We are open to one person taking on the full responsibility or having a couple of people split the games throughout the season.
You may have seen the original flyer in the school newsletter. I’ve updated the flyer with the revised date range and times that Gym Manager(s) will be needed, so please refer to the attached flyer for the most up-to-date information.
At this time, we are still waiting for the basketball schedule to be finalized, so we do not yet know exactly how many games we will host or the specific dates. However, our gym is expected to be available the following dates:
- January: 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 & 30
- February: 6, 7, & 14
These dates should give you a general idea of the weekends we may host games at SJN. Once the official schedule is released, we will share the finalized schedule with the Gym Manager(s) so you can plan accordingly.
As a thank-you for your time, Gym Manager(s) can choose between Care & Share hours or $20 per game worked.
If you are interested in serving as a Gym Manager or would like to learn more about what the role involves, please take a look at the attached flyer and reach out Coach Alyssa: athletics@sjnok.org
Thank you for supporting SJN Athletics and our student-athletes!
