Mick Souter performed 'All Aboard the Iron Horse' for our students last week. He sang songs about the railroad and played a variety of instruments while telling his story. Students joined in singing, clapping and making a train whistle as the train pulled into the station in his story. Ask your child which instrument they enjoyed most.

October is Cyberbullying Prevention Month! Here are a few tips to help keep your student safe from Cyberbullying.

1. Keep devices in shared spaces, when possible, especially for younger children.

2. Encourage communication: make it clear they can come to you without fear of punishment.

3. Teach them how to block/report harmful users or messages on every platform they use.

4. Remind them: never share passwords, even with friends.

5. Be alert to signs of distress, withdrawal, or secrecy with

   devices, these could signal cyberbullying.

6. Use parental controls or monitoring tools to stay aware of digital activity, especially for younger kids.

Candy will be collected up until October 27th, keep the candy coming in!

The pickup line experience is about to get a boost! Could you use a little afternoon pick-me-up? On Thursday, November 16th MRI PTO will be selling iced coffee while you're waiting in line. $4 cash only, please!

Come volunteer at MRI! Level 1 volunteers are those individuals who have a completed and approved background check. All chaperones for field trips must be a Level 1.

It is recommended that you consider getting your Level 1 if you plan on volunteering at school in any way. This way it's done and you should be good to go!
