Congratulations to our Coble Bands!

Orchestra-Region 5 All-Region auditions occurred earlier this month. We had 13 Coble students compete with hundreds of other orchestra students in the region. The students who made it include: Adrienne Nash - Violin, Jeremiah Bagcal - Viola, and Calleigh Penaranda - Cello. Congratulations on a job well done! The All Region Orchestra Concert will be held November 2nd 3pm at the Arlington Center of Performing and Visual Arts.

Honors Band-This past Saturday, members of the Coble Honors Band competed in the Mansfield District Band Auditions. Please share in our congratulations for all Honors Band students in their preparation for this contest, and the upcoming Region audition. These high-pressure situations require many hours of dedicated time to do well and earn placement amongst the best middle school musicians.

Our students came out swinging and represented Coble well: 8 members earned a spot in the Band, and 4 more qualified as first alternate!! Special congratulations to Francis K. For earning 1st chair in the District on Bass Clarinet!

Health Screenings- November 6th

Dear Parents/Guardians:

State law requires that all public schools hold annual health screenings for students. We will be screening students on November 6, 2024. Students will be screened for Hearing, Vision, and Acanthosis Nigricans (a visual marker that may indicate possible signs of type 2 diabetes) in grade levels PK, KG 1, 3, 5, 7 and all New to District students. Please ensure that your child is wearing his/her eyeglasses/contacts to school daily.

Female students in grade levels 5 and 7 and males in grade 8 will be screened for Scoliosis (a curvature of the spine). Boys and girls will be screened separately.

If further evaluation by your doctor is needed, parents will be notified in writing. Please note that these screenings do not replace your child’s need for regular health care and check-ups. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your cooperation,
