Important Reminder: After-School Student Supervision and Activities
Dear Bowsher Families,
We would like to remind our families of our expectations regarding students remaining in the school building after dismissal.
Recently, we have seen an increase in the number of students staying in the building after school while waiting for athletic practices or extracurricular activities to begin without adult supervision.
All students are required to leave the building at dismissal unless they are participating in a school-sponsored extracurricular activity and their coach or advisor is present to supervise them.
Students are not permitted to remain unattended in hallways, classrooms, common areas, or other parts of the building while waiting for activities to begin. If a practice or activity is scheduled to start later in the afternoon, students must leave the building and return at the designated time unless appropriate supervision has been arranged.
We strongly encourage all students to get involved in athletics, clubs, and extracurricular activities. These opportunities are an important part of the high school experience, helping students build relationships, develop leadership skills, and stay connected to their school community. However, participation must take place within the established expectations for student safety and supervision.
Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for all students. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations and helping us ensure that students are properly supervised after school.
Thank you for your continued support of Bowsher High School!
