Westmoor Weekly 03/06/26
March 6, 2026
A Note from Principal Eck
Dear Westmoor Families,
It was a very wet end to our week, but that didn’t stop our students from making the most of indoor recess! There was lots of great learning happening throughout the building as we wrapped up the second trimester. On Monday, we’ll begin the final third of our school year, and we are excited for all that is ahead.
Please take a few minutes to complete the 5Essentials Survey. Your feedback is valuable as we begin planning for the upcoming school year.
We hope you enjoy the warmer weather this weekend! And don’t forget to turn your clocks forward on Sunday as Daylight Saving Time begins.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Westmoor community.
Quote of the Week
Each week students may submit a positive quote that captures and motivates their peers to persevere and feel good. We then showcase the quotes throughout the school building. Students may submit a quote, using this link.
Always Keep Trying
You can't run from LEARNING!
SCHOOL NEWS
We Need your Input about Westmoor!
Between now and March 13, students, teachers, and families across Illinois have the opportunity to participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent/guardian, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about Westmoor. We want to hear your perspective on your child’s education and learning environment.

Westmoor Wearhouse
The Westmoor Warehouse, our schoolwide, universal, Tier 1 SEL system continues to be a hit! It is always our goal to incentivize and recognize the amazing efforts around Westmoor, while focusing explicitly on life skills. Westmoor Warehouse classroom rewards have been updated for the third trimester! Check out the new updates in the attached flyer.
Share a picture with us!
We’re excited to showcase the special moments and achievements of our students and their families. Whether it’s a holiday, cultural tradition, a child’s milestone like riding a bike without training wheels, a big win at a soccer game, welcoming a new pet, or anything else that makes you proud — we’d love to feature it! Here is the link to share a photo and brief description.
