Counselor's Corner
Technology High School

Congrats, Good Luck, and See Most of You Next Year
"You see things; and you say, 'why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'why not?' "
~ George Bernard Shaw
WOW!!! This is the last Counselor's Corner for the School Year 25/26...the big day is here next Wednesday for graduates! How exciting that a year has gone by and we did it, we did it together! Thank you all for taking the time to read my newsletters every week or as often as you can. Thank you for sharing your kids with us. You may look back and wonder how it went by so fast, how you made it through all the assignments, but that goes to show how strong we are. Moving forward let's know our inner strength and say "bring it on" because "why not?" Let's have high hopes and big dreams, and figure out how we can get there instead of doubting ourselves.
Some of you will have Summer School either at Rancho or at a junior college. Make sure to work hard and get through whatever class you are taking as it will go towards graduating. If you need me, I will still be around checking chats and emails.
I will be sending all the graduates' transcripts to the colleges that they indicated on the Grad Survey to get to their colleges on June 11th. If the college you indicated has changed, please let me know ASAP, so I know the right college to send it to.
PSAT, SAT, and ACT will be held here at Tech High in October. A sign-up sheet will post it in my Newsletter at the beginning of the year for you to sign up. PSAT will be for Juniors only. SAT and ACT will only be for 11th/12th graders.
Still 10 graduates are left for FAFSA. This needs to be submitted for graduating students as soon as possible or you can fill out an opt out form which are in the office. There are Cash 4 College nights held virtually and in person all over the county if you need assistance. This is the only way you will get any type of financial aid in college and this is the only way you will get to go to the JC for free. Please fill it out as soon as possible, so you can find out how much money you will earn and if you get the Cal Grant or other scholarships.
There is a Google Classroom with resources and announcements...ask your students if they have joined yet.
My newsletters are to inform parents mostly, but there will also be information for students. Some information carries over each week, but always look for the new stuff.
I am very easy to get ahold of and respond pretty quickly. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, clarification, or concerns.
See below for friendly reminders: Important Dates, Mental Health Tips/Resources, SRJC information, Scholarship opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.
Project Grad Volunteers/Donations Needed
Those that don't have graduates yet, let's pay it forward...
Project Graduation on June 3, 2026, is quickly approaching, and we need your help to make this event a success for our students!
There are many volunteer jobs available, and as the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.” Every helping hand truly makes a difference and helps create a safe, fun, and memorable celebration for our graduates.
Can you donate just 2 hours of your time? Take a look HERE to see what works for you!
If you’re unable to volunteer, there are still other ways to support Project Graduation. Donations through our Amazon Wish List are greatly appreciated and help us provide supplies and prizes for the event.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping make Project Graduation such a special tradition! If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to Nicole Turner at nicole_turner@crpusd.org
